Hello, and as you can probably tell, I am the Author of Dark Sneakers.

My name is Brian, but you can call me Bryy. I am currently going to the University of California at Santa Cruz, or UCSC for the long-form-speaking inclined. I own cat, who lives at home. His name is Tom.

How did Dark Sneakers come about, you ask? Well, it all started about two years ago, when I became fascinated with the idea of a webcomic. At first, I wanted to make a comic novel using the characters, then I thought maybe it would be funny if I chronicled my own life through a webcomic.

But ultimately, it was my love of the supernatural that got me to do Dark Sneakers. That's why Calvin exists. It's why Jack exists. Its why Alex has no left hand.

Why Canada, if I live in California? A great many reasons. One, I am just blown away by the country. Don't get me wrong, I do more than my fair share of Canada jokes. Old Canadia is ripe picking. But its really a great place. Its clean and pretty and they talk real funny with their vowels and all. Two, Josh Phillips' excellent Candian-based comic strip, Avalon. That strips all twisty and convuluted and makes you realize just how small knit a community Canadians live in.

My current major is undeclared, but I want to go into Film and Digital Media, with a minor in Theater Arts.

And I sometimes have dreams of becoming the President of the United States. I don't know why. It just happens.
